Manufacturing KPI Dashboard

Increasing visibility into manufacturing KPIs for FMCG giant.

Brief

Collaborating with company’s Manufacturing Unit, we crafted a comprehensive Power BI dashboard consolidating Safety, Utility, Production, Dispatch, HR, and Quality metrics. The intuitive design allows executives to effortlessly toggle between daily, monthly, yearly, and weekly views, providing a centralized hub for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) of the unit.

Project Challenge

The primary challenge was overcoming the fragmentation of data across separate Excel sheets, hindering efficient monitoring. Additionally, ensuring user-friendliness for non-tech-savvy personnel posed a critical hurdle. The need for real-time data updates from SharePoint further added complexity. The goal was to streamline these processes into a cohesive, visually appealing dashboard that could cater to diverse operational metrics and convey the overall health of the manufacturing unit. This solution had to be embedded in the other manufacturing units across the country, so the solution had to be robust and scalable.

Our Approach

To address the challenges, we initiated the project with a meticulous design phase using Figma, gaining management approval for the dashboard’s visual aesthetics. Subsequently, we established a robust data model within Power BI, unifying disparate metrics seamlessly. Our team integrated automatic data refresh from SharePoint, ensuring up-to-the-minute accuracy. Recognizing the non-technical user base, we prioritized an intuitive interface, enabling easy toggling and interpretation of diverse metrics. The development phase in Power BI focused on translating the approved design into a functional, user-friendly dashboard.
